ARRI is introducing a new addition to the ALEXA MINI LF workflow, the Codex Compact Drive Dock. Like the USB-C Compact Drive Reader, the Compact Drive Dock is compatible to both Mac OS and Windows without the need for additional drivers. Featuring Thunderbolt 3, however, it offers a much higher transfer speed. The Thunderbolt 3 Dock can transfer a full Compact Drive in under 7 minutes or around 12 minutes if using an Apple Thunderbolt 3 to 2 Adapter. With the USB-C reader, it will take somewhere from 16 minutes.
